VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Hometown heroes the Vegas Golden Knights celebrated their incredible inaugural season with dinner at Scotch 80 Prime, the new steakhouse at Palms Casino Resort, on Friday, June 8. Many of the players — minus beards! — were joined by significant others and treated to a welcome toast by Palms General Manager Jon Gray.
Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits presented the group with a 15L bottle of Moet Chandon branded with the Vegas Golden Knights logo and a “Vegas Strong” message. The group dined on a menu by Chef Barry S. Dakake, Scotch 80 Prime’s executive chef, that included flaming seafood towers, rock shrimp, surf and turf and crab cocktails.
After dinner, the Knights took a tour of the kitchen and toasted with a shot of Macallan Reflection. They then headed to nearby Pearl Concert Theater to watch Blink-182’s headlining residency “Kings of the Weekend,” where frontman and guitarist Mark Hoppus gave “his hockey team” numerous shout-outs, and the crowd repeatedly chanted, “Go, Knights, go!”
Drai’s Nightclub atop The Cromwell hosted several celebrities Saturday, June 9, during a concert by Tip “T.I.” Harris, including champion boxer Terence Crawford, who defeated Jeff Horn for the WBO welterweight title at MGM Grand Garden Arena earlier in the evening; “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman, who enjoyed the show from a stage-side VIP booth; actor Omar Gooding; and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.
U.K. fitness model and MTV and TV personality Joss Mooney visited Chippendales at The Rio on Tuesday, June 5, and donned the male revue’s iconic cuffs and collars backstage for cameras. Mooney chatted with the hunks and posed for photographs before taking his seat for the show.
Singer-songwriter Austin Mahone performed his singles “Mmm Yeah,” “Lady,” “Say You’re Just a Friend” and “Banga Banga” at Flamingo Las Vegas’ Go Pool Dayclub on Saturday, June 9. Mahone, 22, arrived just before 3 p.m. and kept the party going. Midway through his set, Mahone was joined onstage by singer Pia Mia, who served free shots of Hennessey to guests.
Earlier in the afternoon, Australian TV personality and international model Brooke Evers played a DJ set next door at Influence, The Pool at The Linq. Evers met with fans, posed for photos and kept the party hopping.
