STRIP DINING + MUSIC

New hotspot Alexxa’s Bar at Paris Las Vegas features sangrias, global small plates and live entertainment with a view

The upscale Alexxa’s Bar, which adjoins sister property HEXX Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, is one of the first Strip-front businesses to open in the New Year, and Alexxa’s, home to a menu featuring sangria, punch bowls and global small plates that are perfect for sharing, celebrates its official grand opening March 14.

Executive Chef Carlos Buscaglia and Executive Pastry Chef Miranda Prince oversee the culinary direction of Alexxa’s, in the former home of the retail stores for Sugar Factory American Brasserie and HEXX Kitchen + Bar. The indoor-outdoor space with a casual-chic and earth-tone design also features live music several evenings a week.

What's On The Menu?

Food + Drinks

Chef Buscaglia, formerly of Due Forni Pizza, has created an inventive menu of savory items that includes deviled egg toast, ceviche, whipped feta dip, vegetarian empanadas, falafel with harissa yogurt, chorizo meatballs and butternut squash flatbread.

For something sweeter, the pleasing-to-the-palate offerings by Prince, whose resume includes Gimme Some Sugar, are mango spring rolls, churro bites, a trio of pie pops (pecan pie, apple pie and lemon meringue), butterscotch pot de creme and chocolate cannoli.

Save water and drink sangria and punch bowls at Alexxa’s. The sangria selection includes enticingly named offerings such as Pinky Swear, Chill Is in the Air, Moonshine and The Modern. The punch bowl cocktails are Fiesta (with Hornitos Blanco), Ribbon Cutting (Wild Turkey), Revolution (Cruzan Peach Rum) and Celebration (Absolut Elyx).

We'll Do It Live!

Alexxa’s kicked off live entertainment in February with Soul Sundays featuring Franky Perez and Country Mondays with Sam Riddle, both headliners from 8 p.m. to midnight and with complimentary admission, and recently added DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. Riddle has since moved to Wednesdays and Perez to Friday and Saturday nights.

Perez is a seasoned veteran of the Las Vegas music scene. In 2003, he released his debut self-produced album, “Poor Man’s Son.” Perez has performed with a number of all-star cover bands and was the former guitarist for Scars on Broadway and singer of cello-based Finnish rock band Apocalyptica. In 2017, he embarked on a tour of The United States and Europe.

As the son of Steve Riddle, a founder of Mission Mountain Wood Band, and a nephew of a Broadway composer, Sam Riddle has a love of music flowing through his veins and has found himself in Las Vegas playing up and down The Strip. As he honed his craft, Riddle has become known for his electric, crowd-stirring country performances.
